ECW Spring Conference 2022 -
St. Peter's by the Lake, Holy Mackerel Award 2022

ECW Winter Board Meeting was held at St. Philip’s, Jackson on Saturday, February 19,
2022. The meeting was called to order by Martha Morgan, Diocese of MS Episcopal
Church Women President. There were 12 board members in attendance.

At their January 2022 meeting in Oklahoma City, the NECW board made a $1,000
donation to the Diocese of Oklahoma Bishop's Appeal for the formation of the Magdalene
House, a rehabilitation refuge for women recently released from incarceration.

Note from ECW Spring Conference 2018 presenter, Stacy Wills: As you can see, the painting
went in a bit of a different direction...which is not unusual with the “intentional creativity”
process.

I was very much inspired by the ECW prayer and it is written on the scroll in the upper
left hand corner.The underpainting, especially what was added by the women at the conference,
also served as inspiration.Two phrases I found painted on the canvas that also guided me were: 
“Thanks be to God” and “Live intoGod’s Dream.”

The overall painting is reflective of my experience of being with you all...claiming (or reclaiming
creativity as our birthright, releasing our colors into the world, creating public sacred spaces,
allowing God’s love and blessings to flow through us to those in need, and to tend our piece of
the red thread - what is uniquely ours to cause and create in this life.

The title, “Anoint Us with Your Grace,” comes from the ECW prayer. (And her name is Grace.)

Again, I thank you for the opportunity to come and share with you all. It was truly one of the
most profound and humbling experiences that I have ever had and one I will never forget.
