A Message from the ECW President
Bless Our Work in Mission and Ministry in the World
Greetings Ladies of the Diocese of Mississippi as well to all Churches:
For over 70 years, the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) have served not only through our commitment to the many “in-reach” needs along with the Outreach ministries of our local parishes, but also those of the Diocese.
Our ECW Diocesan Outreach ministries include the Church Periodical Club (CPC), Children at Risk (CR), and Global Scholarships (GS), which are all funded by parish and/or individual donations. These donations are also critical to meeting the day-to-day needs of the Diocesan ECW.
In 2024-2025, your gifts have enabled the ECW of Mississippi:-to offer Diocesan Seminarians who requested, a donation to help with the purchase of textbooks through CPC; to award small grants to very worthwhile programs that benefit children at risk, such as Camp Able, Vicksburg Family Services, and to sponsor a child for Stewpot’s Summer Camp program.
In addition, we were able to assist three board members, including our Mississippi Woman of Distinction, Lollie Everett, with expenses incurred while attending the 171st Triennial Meeting held in conjunction with last year’s General Convention in Louisville, KY.
To the parishes that have already sent in their yearly donation, we are truly thankful, as well as to any individual who has made a donation to any of our Outreach ministries. If your parish has not yet sent in a donation, we ask that you will support our mission and ministry through your donations.
The suggested donations (“yearly dues”) for each church are:
Parish: $100.00
Mission: $50.00
Checks should be made payable to ECW, and mailed to: Wava Peters, Diocesan ECW Treasurer, P.O. Box 128 Terry, MS 39170. Please note the purpose of the donation on your check (ECW, Church Periodical, Children at Risk, or Global Scholarship).
Blessings,
Ann Milsted, President, Diocese of Mississippi ECW eamlstd@gmail.com
